Local information including births, marriages and deaths from 1855, old parish records and census returns provide the initial starting point for an enquiry. 

Other supplemental material including books, wills, estate papers, graveyard / memorial inscriptions and the full 1881 Census on CD-ROM are  used to add 'depth' to research.

Skye Kin maintains a fascinating and comprehensive database of 2000+ family groups. Summarising and cross-indexing all of the genealogical research done to date connected to a particular family line, this database is continually being updated and expanded by a programme of proactive ongoing research.
